Diss Vixen’s travelled to Woodbridge to face the Amazons on a windy, rainy Sunday. Both sides provided a physical game which meant the result really could have gone either way, finishing 5-5 with a successful try in the first half by Eloise Rought-Rought. Both sides received some yellow cards, meaning the teams had to dig deep and battle in defence with reduced numbers to prevent line breaks, but the Diss Vixens executed beautiful defence, preventing the Amazons from getting through.
Coaches Player was given to Bree Herbert-Horn, for her brilliant communication, handling and tackles! Whilst Amy Kinge received Player’s Player for her astonishing line breaks and support running.
Having support on the sidelines by vocal spectators, especially on away days, really did not go unnoticed and we as a team, cannot wait to be back on the home grounds vs Southwold on 10th November.
