Diss Under 13's, with one of the largest squads within the Diss RFC juniors ranks, took on a well drilled Wymondham team at Mackenders. The first half Diss developed their ruck and maul game, however with some strong running from Wymondham's scrum, Diss stopped at half time behind 3 trys to no response.
In the 2nd half and rolling substitutions Diss managed to play themselves back into the game and apply pressure, however once again strong running out wide meant Diss finished 6 trys to no response. Particular mention in a tough game should go to Drew, Freddie and Dylan, whose tackling was instrumental in keeping the scoreline lower than it could of been. Diss travel to North Walsham this weekend, where coach Andy Jermy will be impressing on the large squad the desire to run the ball wide with quick ball and hard rucking.
