It was our first visit to the impressive new Wymondham rugby club and Diss started the game strongly scoring the first try. Wymondham lineout ball was stolen by Diss and given to Ben Waters to set off on a very strong run towards the try line before passing to the supporting Tom Parkes-Lewis to score. Ben Converted for a 7-0 lead. The remainder of the half was heavily in Wymondham's favour and at 1/2 time they had scored 4 tries.
Diss brought on all the subs at 1/2 time and from the kick off the ball was passed through the backs and onto the wing where Dylan Smith sprinted through with the score. There were three further Diss tries: The next was an excellent catch and driving maul from the lineout where Diss drove on until Jamie Wilks was able to drop down over the line. This was a well executed try by the forwards and well deserved.
Ben Waters had another excellent game with a high tackle count and many surging runs. The next try resulted from such a strong gutsy run. With Wymondham piling on the pressure the last Diss try resulted from a trade mark Joe Jermy interception try.
Wymondham managed to close out the game and the win with two late tries. A hard fought and very competitive game
