Diss played host to Colchester B today. With player shortage they found themselves without any flankers. Two more backs had to move into the pack. With boys playing out of position Diss were no match for Colchesters experienced and well rehearsed pack.
Colchester scored first with a conversion to follow. Diss shortly followed with a try from Nat Strange under the posts with George Jones to convert. Colchester ran through with ball beating players then went to sleep on the try line, Nat Strange caught up grabbed the the ball and the ref calling held up. Colchester went on to score a further four tries. Diss played with gusto and put up a well spirited defence. Colchester were a tight stronger team on the day. Not taking anything from Diss they played their very best but couldn't break Colchester down or break through their defences. Good team play from Diss. Well done.
Back in the clubhouse George Jones was awarded man of the match for Diss, very well done to him.
